Annual General Meeting and Lord Denman Memorial Lecture 2024

We are honoured to have, as our speaker The Rt Hon Alistair Burt, Pro-Chancellor of Lancaster University and the Chair of the University’s governing body. He was a Conservative Member of Parliament for more than thirty years, holding Ministerial office in the Department of Social Security, the Department of Health and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. In the FCO he was responsible, among other things, for the Middle East and it is on the current Gaza crisis and its wider implications that he will address the Society.
