The Ayurvedic Man: encounters with Indian Medicine
The exhibition tells the story of Paira Mall, a young Indian doctor who was tasked in 1911 with bringing back materials about the ancient practice of Ayurvedic medicine. Dating back 3,500 – 4,000 years, it is part of the Vedas, the divine texts of Hinduism and literally translates as ‘the science of life’. The exhibition runs until 8 April 2018.
