The History of Central Asia: The Age of the Steppe Warriors
Dr Christoph Baumer is an independent scholar, explorer and President of the Society for the Exploration of EurAsia. His talk, which shares its title with his book of the same name, will cover the history and cultures of Central Asia from the Palaeolithic period to the Scythian migration into Eastern Europe and the Inner Asia campaign of Alexander of Macedon.
This lecture is being held jointly with the Oriental Club and space is consequently limited. Please inform the RSAA office in advance if you plan to attend, or would like lunch beforehand. The lecture will begin at 1.15pm.
