Shipton & Tillman: The Great Decade of Himalayan Exploration
Mr. Jim Perrin will talk from the third part of his mountaineering trilogy, a biography of Shipton and Tillman, who spent a large part of their careers exploring the Himalayas. The Himalayan expedition was set against the backdrop of our imperial history , with the changing nature of our politics exemplified in the way they undertook the it exploration.
The lecture will begin at 1.15pm. If you would like lunch beforehand, please inform the RSAA office in advance.
