In the Library Talk: IRAN
Iranian born Shirin Shabestari will describe how climbing changed her life as a girl growing up in Iran and where, in a country where ‘freedom’ can be an unattainable dream for many girls, how climbing and exposure to the mountains made her feel free, shaped her future, her dreams and made her want to explore. Her talk will include a short 15 minute film detailing her climbing exploits as part of her life as it is now.
