We are very pleased to announce that Bill Hayton will become the Editor of Asian Affairs from 1 August 2022.
Bill is an Associate Fellow at Chatham House. He has published four books on Vietnam and China as well as a number of journal articles, book reviews and research papers. He spent twenty-seven years as a radio and TV journalist mostly with the BBC, but also with CNBC, Sky, APTV, EBN and al Jazeera. Prior to specialising in South-East Asia his main focus had been the Middle East.
Bill is a member of the RSAA and has spoken to the Society on a number of occasions in the last two years as well as contributing content to Asian Affairs.
We are delighted to welcome such a well-qualified new Editor and look forward to having him in the RSAA team.
